NANCY CARVILLE BUSEY
As
a child, Nancy was always drawing – horses,
of course, along with anything else that struck her fancy. In college
she minored in art.
She has always loved museums and gallery shows. A paralegal by profession,
she has always done crafts, needlework, gardening and decorating.
A
watercolor class with Lyle Ball in the 1970’s gave her a goal – to
become an accomplished watercolorist. Children, cross country relocations,
and full-time jobs interfered for several years.

In 1996 she began taking watercolor
classes as well as workshops with visiting artists and began painting in
earnest. She has studied under nationally-known instructors locally and
away. She is a member of Latimer Art Club, Nevada Artists Association and
is current President of Sierra Watercolor Society.
She believes painting is therapeutic and empowering, particularly painting
en plein air. And she truly enjoys interacting with the dedicated artists
she has met over the years.
